Man stabs another with broken bottle
A 31-year-old man, Dada Adekunle, was on Friday docked in an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun, for allegedly stabbing another with broken bottle on his right hand.
The police charged Adekunle, whose address was not given with assault.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp E. O. Adaraloye, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Oct.15, at about 9 p.m at Abule Aparadija, via Cele Bus-Stop, Ayetoro, Ota.
Adaraloye told the court that the defendant stabbing one Adejumo Ezekiel, during an altercation.
He said that the offence contravened the provisions of Section 335 of the Criminal Code, Law of Ogun,2006.
The defendant, however pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mrs A.O. Adeyemi, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Adeyemi ordered that the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and be gainfully employed with an evidence of tax payment to Ogun Government.
She adjourned the case until Nov. 10 for further hearing.
