Masari presents released kidnapped students to Buhari
Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State on Friday presented to President Muhammadu Buhari the released students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State, kidnapped last Friday night by bandits.
The President, receiving the students led by Governor Masari, and some top Federal and state government officials, spoke to them in Hausa language.
The president commended everyone who participated in facilitating the speedy release of the students, particularly the Federal, State governments, and the military.
The Personal Assistant on New Media to the President, Bashir Ahmad, had earlier announced in a tweet that President Buhari will be meeting the freed students on Friday.
Governor Masari briefed the president on the efforts that led to the speedy release of the students without the use of force; he emphasized that security should be the responsibility of all, not just of the government.
