Meningitis kills 13 persons in Katsina
The outbreak of meningitis has claimed the life of about 13 people at Karfi Village in Malumfashi Local Government Area, Katsina State while receiving treatment at the health facility. It was gathered that 12 of the victims died at their home while one out of the three persons rushed to the Primary Health Care (PHC) Centre in the village.
The Primary Health Centre, PHC, coordinator of the area, Lawal Dabai, was said to have made the disclosure while briefing the Kaduna State Emergency Preparedness Response Team that visited the affected community. The state medical team was gathered to have detailed some medical personnel to the area to contain the spread of the disease.
