Messi’s World Cup post becomes most popular on Instagram
World champion Lionel Messi’s post on Instagram after he led his country to win the 2022 World Cup, has become the most popular image on the photo-sharing platform.
The first image on the post was that of Messi lifting the World Cup after Argentina beat France in Sunday’s World Cup final. The post has garnered over 57 million likes on Instagram as of Tuesday. He shared the post on Sunday.
The previous most liked photo on Instagram record was held by the photo of an egg, which had over 56 million likes.
