MI Abaga takes a stand against social media bill, calls on Davido, Wizkid and other celebrities to join the fight
Award winning Nigerian musician, Jude Abaga popularly known by his stage name MI has opposed the Anti-social media bill proposed by the Nigerian senate.
Anti-social Media Bill was introduced by the Senate on November 5, 2019 to criminalize the use of the social media in peddling false or malicious information. The original title of the bill was ‘Protection from Internet Falsehood and Manipulations Bill 2019’ and It was sponsored by Senator Mohammed Sani Musa representing Niger East.
MI who is vehemently opposed to this bill, has taken to Twitter to share a video calling on well meaning Nigerian celebrities and Influencers to join the fight. Some of the celebrities he tagged are Wizkid, Davido, Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage amongst others.
