Morata is a far better player in Madrid than in Chelsea- Spain boss Enrique
Spain boss Luis Enrique believes Alvaro Morata is a ‘far better player’ now since joining Atletico Madrid from Chelsea.
Morata joined Atleti from Chelsea in an 18-month loan deal and has impressed in his early showings for Diego Simeone’s side.
“To be honest I see Morata as far better now than when he used to arrive here as a Chelsea player,” Enrique told reporters.
“He now has more self-confidence and he has always been a great player for us, but now he is more decisive in his play.
“For example, when keeping the ball at the end of the match, he did that with confidence.
“He had many chances and he was where he had to be and he was not lucky enough on Saturday but he produced a great performance, and it was his best match for us so far.”
