Mum hires 18-yr-old, other to murder 85-year-old ‘witch’ in Adamawa

For the love of her son, a mother hired two men for N5000 to smash dead an 85-year-old ‘witch’ in Song LGA, Adamawa.

Gayawan Danzaria and Thank-God Obadiah however murdered the old man in his sleep for  half the amount on the weekend.

The woman, now on the run, claimed the old man bewitched her son.

Danzaria and Obadiah would not verify the truth of her allegation. Once they got the advance payment of N2000, the boys, armed with an axe, moved into action Sunday morning, according to police.

Thank-God confessed to the police they found the old man lying down in his apartment. While Thank-God, 18, went in axe in hand, Danzaria kept watch outside.

A blow on the head took the breath out of the old man.

The Police Public Relations Officer for Adamawa State, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the two men arrested are being investigated.

“The accused will be thoroughly investigated and charged to court,” he said.
