Muslim-Muslim ticket will not work in Nigeria for presidential – Deji Adeyanju
The convention of the ruling party All Progressives Congress ended yesterday after due and several consultations and processes involved to choose the presidential aspirants to emerge as the party flag bearer in the general election comes 2023.
After the compilation and collation of results, the party leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared and officially announced as the winner for the APC Presidential ticket thereby beating the likes of Ahmed Lawan, Rotimi Amaechi, Yemi Osinbajo, Yahaya Bello among others.
Following the emergence of Asiwaju Tinubu as the outright winner, several people who are been concerned have been agitating for no Muslim-Muslim ticket in the presidential knowing fully well that his running mate would most likely come from the North and could be a Muslim.
In this regard, a renowned human right activist and popular philanthropist Deji Adeyanju has taken turn to also give his thoughts on the issue as they are now on the verge to choose the running mate.
Deji Adeyanju reacted with a post via his verified Facebook page to blankly pointed it out that Muslim-Muslim ticket for presidential with the believe that the nation is a multi- religious country.
What is your take on taking the Muslim-Muslim ticket for the APC Presidential candidates to contest against other top candidates from various political party with the likes of Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi among others still very much in the race.
