NAF fighter jets bombs out Buhari in Yobe
Yobe, one of the hot spots of Boko Haram, terrorism rarely gets mention when it comes to aerial bombardment by the military in the on-going counter-terrorism war.
But that changed on September 15 at a village called Buhari, fully inhabited by the terrorism in Yunusari LGA.
That LGA and another, Geidam, have been under Boko Haram siege for long.
The terrorists at some point took over pulic activities in Geidam, giving residents loans and preaching to them.
However, a report by the Daily Post, stated the attack by the military was carried out after security reports.
“The military, on getting the credible intel were able to confirm that the village is a place for Boko Haram and ISWAP and today they used both aerial and land bombardment on the village,” the news platform quoted source.
“Scores of Boko Haram members were neutralized and a few civilians sustained injuries.”
Those injured have been taken to Gaidam General Hospital.
