Navas: Solari never considered me
Santiago Solari caused a divide in the Real Madrid dressing room and a number of players, notably Keylor Navas, felt unjustly treated by the Argentine.Navas was Madrid’s Copa del Rey and Champions League goalkeeper until Julen Lopetegui’s sacking.
Then, under Solari, he was taken off European duty halfway through the group stages but Zinedine Zidane started the Costa Rican in his first game back.?”I had the feeling that whatever I did in training, I wasn’t going to play,” he said to El Partidazo on COPE.
“But I was always professional and motivated to do things the right way because I am privileged.”Keylor’s commitment at Madrid has never been in question despite it seemingly likely that he would move on while Solari was in charge and he still isn’t ruling anything out.”I have a contract and I want to play at Madrid,” he said.
“I’ve given everything for this club and I will continue to do so while I’m here, but I don’t want to spend another year like this one.”Zidane’s decision to include him in his return caught the goalkeeper off guard.”I was very emotional when I saw my name in the eleven,” he admitted.
