Near Miss: Dog arrested, detained after almost deballing student in groin attack
A man’s fluffy best friend went rabid at the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo, on Friday, and went for the crotch of a neighbor, Sadiq Oyeyemi.
The canine has been showing signs of aggression all along but reports stated its ownwer, also a student, didn’t take it seriously.
According to the SUG Public Relations Officer Oluwafemi Adegbeyeni, the victim is now in a specialist hospital at Ikare-Akoko.
He said students keeping dogs in the campus community have been warned to put the animals on short leash.
The state police command intervened on getting the report of the savagery.
Police Spokesperson Funmi Odulami said the dog mauled the upper thigh of the victim, adding that the attack also affected the undergraduate’s scrotum.
