Nigerians should focus on the world Cup, not NFF elections–NFF VP Seyi

Following defeat to Croatia in the Super Eagles opening fixture at the Russia 2018 and with the team now having to defeat Iceland to keep chances of qualifying in their own hands, NFF 1st Vice President, Barr. Seyi Akinwumi told National Daily that the no member of the federation is focused on the September, 2018 because the only priority is the Super Eagles progress from the group stages.
“The World Cup is our sole priority in Russia and I can assure you that everyone within the federation is focused on the round leather game not the NFF Elections coming up later this year, ” said Seyi.
On the mood within the federation following the defeat to Croatia, Barr. Akinwumi said, “We are disappointed with the outcome of the first match but we are already looking forward to the second match against Iceland on Friday and we are determine to win which would help the Super Eagles in their bid to qualify for next round.”
The Lagos State FA boss concluded calling on Nigerians and fans of the Super Eagles to show support and pray for the team because in term of preparation, the team is doing its best but need a bit of luck on Friday to overcome the resolute Icelandic team.
