Ocholi’s death is a monumental loss to Nigeria – Bello

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has expressed shock over the death of the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Barrister James Ocholi, SAN.
The Governor described the late Ocholi as a pragmatic, dynamic, humane and brilliant law officer, who was known around the world for his dexterous approach to legal and political issues.
The governor said the late minister was one of the most unswerving constitutional lawyers Nigeria has ever produced.

He recollected with nostalgia, how the late Senior Advocate of Nigeria joined other progressive minded individuals around the country to build the pillars of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
He further stated that the late Minister was a detribalized Nigerian who believed in the oneness of the nation, summing up his death as an irreparable loss to Kogi State and the Nation at large.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed minister.
Mean-while, the governor has declared three days for mourning in the state. (Monday –Wednesday.)
Ocholi was said to have died in a motor accident while travelling along Abuja – Kaduna road along with two other passengers.
Family source said the accident which involved his vehicle; a Prado SUV and another Lexus SUV also left his wife Fatima Ocholi in serious coma while son also died immediately as the faith of his aide-de-camp is yet unknown.
Chief James Ocholi who is from Dekina local Government area of Kogi state was born to the family of Mr and Mrs James Momoh Odoh on November 26th 1960.
