Nollywood actor to assist young Nigerianng entrepreneurs with N1m seed capital
Nollywood actor, philanthropist and comedian, Williams Uche Mba says he will support any young Nigerian inventors and entrepreneurs with the sum of N1 million as seed capital.
Mba expressed his intention on his verified Instagram page @williamsuchemba since Monday.
The 27-year-old announced that the plan was aimed at helping people to achieve their dreams, as well as help reducing youth unemployment in the country.
He said, “Interested applicants must have an idea or invention capable of addressing a societal problem and should be able to employ 3 to 5 people in the long run.
“I will post comprehensive entry requirements and application date in due course. I will be giving a seed capital of
N1,000,000 (one million naira) to any young entrepreneur/inventor in Nigeria,” he wrote.
The National Daily reports that the entertainer had on Sept narrated how God told him to come to Nigeria and free people from poverty.
He wrote, “I hate to break this to you but majority of the time, God’s plans look nothing like what you have planned for yourself.
“Few years ago, I was lying on my bed in California when I got an instruction, a very clear and sound instruction from God, to go to Nigeria and free people from poverty.
“At first, I acted like I didn’t hear because in my head, God can’t tell me to leave the beautiful life he has given me and the little savings I have, to enter the slums in Nigeria and help strangers”.
