Northern Youth President gives VeryDarkMan 48-hour ultimatum to apologize over Sultan of Sokoto comments
President of the Northern Nigerian Youth, Ambassador Abdul Dabatule, has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to controversial activist and social media influencer, VeryDarkMan, demanding a public apology over his remarks directed at the Sultan of Sokoto.
This comes after VeryDarkMan publicly criticized and corrected the Sultan following the monarch’s statement describing social media as a “t+rr%rist organization.”

In response, VeryDarkMan argued that social media is a tool for activism, accountability, and free expression, not terrorism. However, his remarks didn’t sit well with many in the North.
In a video statement, Dabatule condemned the activist’s response, describing it as disrespectful to the revered royal figure. “We want VeryDarkMan to quickly withdraw his statement and apologize to the Sultan of Sokoto. We, the Northern Nigerians, are giving him 48 hours to do that,” Dabatule said firmly.
