Obaseki appoints Osarodion Ogie, SSG, makes other appointments Feb. 2021
Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State on Saturday announced the appointment of Osarodion Ogie as Secretary to the State Government.
Governor Obaseki took to his social media pages – facebook, twitter – on Saturday to declare: “I have approved the appointment of Osarodion Ogie Esq., as Secretary to the State Government.” Ogie was the SSG in the governor’s first tenure. Governor Obaseki stated that this is the only appointment that would be made for now, saying that other appointments would be made in the first week of February 2021.
“This is the only political appointment to be made for now. All other appointments are deferred to the first week of February 2021,” the governor declared.
Ogie was the Director-General of Obaseki’s campaign organization before his first appointment as SSG in 2016.
He was Commissioner for Works in Edo State in the administration of former Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
