Obi reacts to the killing of Labour Party’s women leader
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party and former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi has finally reacted to the gruesome killing of the Labour Party’s women leader, Mrs. Victoria Chintex.
Mrs. Victoria Chintex was on Monday murdered in cold blood at her residence in Kaura Local Government Area of Southern Kaduna State by yet to be identified gunmen.
It was also gathered that her husband was also shot in the leg by the gunmen, but was rushed to a hospital for immediate medical attention.
However, the Labour Party in the Southern Kaduna senatorial zone had condemned the unacceptable killing of the party’s women leader. Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate for the forthcoming 2023 presidential election has in his own way condemned her killing.
Reacting through his Twitter handle, Peter Obi said that he is shocked by the mindless killing of Mrs. Victoria Chintex. He noted that her death is a huge loss to her immediate and extended family, and to the Labour Party. He added that she lives in their hearts.
Further more, Peter Obi said that her gruesome killing and the loss of many innocent lives across the nation to gunmen and terrorists, are the reasons why he must prioritize war against insecurity as his first task in office. He added that the waste of lives of Nigerians under any guise must not be allowed.
He also prayed for the peaceful repose of Mrs. Victoria Chintex as he sends his heartfelt condolences to her family.
