Two men, including an alleged leader of the Alora cult group, have been arrested in Ogun for suspected cultism and firearm possession.
The Ogun State Police Command has detained two men for alleged involvement in cultism and illegal possession of firearms.
The suspects were arrested on Thursday along the Akute/Olambe Road in the Ajuwon area of Ogun State.
Police spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Friday in Ota, Ogun.
One of the suspects, identified as Abiodun John, is believed to be the leader of the Alora cult group.
However, the identity of the second suspect has not been disclosed.
According to Odutola, the suspects were apprehended during a routine search by officers from the Ajuwon Police Division.
Acting on a tip-off from the public, the police stopped a vehicle with dealer number URSMOT AUTOS 4657DLA in front of the Osaro Mobile Filling Station.
“John, the leader of the Alora cult, was arrested inside the vehicle, while a 25-year-old man from Olori Area of Akute was also taken into custody.
