Omokri reveals only way power can shift to south in 2023
A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, on Tuesday, said that the northwest and northeast masses will determine the 2023 Nigerian elections.
Omokri who revealed this while sharing his view about change of government also stated that the only way power can shift to the Southern region is if both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) zone the Presidency to the South — a perception echoed by Shehu Sani, a former Nigerian senator.
According to Omokri, there is a chance a Muslim candidate of southwest extraction can defeat a Northerner in 2023.
“NW and NE masses will determine 2023. The only way power shifts to the South is if both PDP and APC zone the Presidency to the South. There is a SLIGHT chance a Yoruba Muslim can defeat a Northerner in 2023. But any other non-incumbent Southerner, forget it for now!” the socio-political activist wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
