One dead as Oro worshipers, Christians clash at night in Lagos
At least one person lost his life in a fracas that ensued on Tuesday between Oro worshippers and church members holding vigil in Lagos.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin gave the information in a Twitter post on Wednesday.
The spokesman disclosed that the clash occurred as the Christian faithful observed a vigil.
“It’s clearly a murder case. Suspects have been arrested”, Hundeyin confirmed.
The Oro worshippers were on a procession at night—just about the time the Christian worshippers were praying.
The refusal to put off their lights angered the idl worshippers, leading to the confrontation that led to the murder.
