One weakness in Chelsea Tuchel is yet to solve
Chelsea FC current performance has not been encouraging. The club lost five (5) points in two (2) of its last four (4) games, having drawn against Manchester United and lost to West Ham United. The club has been unable to keep clean sheets in its last four (4) games in the Premier League. The club sits in the third (3rd) position on the league table with thirty-six (36) points. After last Saturday defeat to West Ham United in the league, the club came back to winning ways having narrowly defeated Leeds United by 3-2 goals on Saturday evening.
Chelsea FC defender, Antonio Rudiger won two (2) penalties which Jorginho converted into goals. Hence, Antonio Rudiger make his mark as he became the club second player to win two (2) penalties in a single Premier League match, after Yuri Zhirkov against Aston Villa in March 2010. Though Chelsea FC won the game, the club coach, Thomas Tuchel is yet to correct one of the weaknesses in the club.
Unlike when the league started, currently, the Blues scoring rate has been drastically low and this is one of the reasons the club finds it difficult to win games convincingly. The club attacking line performance in scoring goals has been woeful. Kai Havertz continued to lose chances, Timo Werner has not been a stable, consistent and reliable player in front of goals.
The club general performance has not been that bad but the number of goals scored does not commensurate with the chances created by the players. If Thomas Tuchel does not solve or correct this problem, it would be a pity that the club will continue to drop points and this will no doubt affect its chances of winning the league at the end of the season.
