Oscar2022: AY comedian reacts after Will Smith slaps Chris Rocks

Nigerian actor, comedian, Ayodeji Richard Makun, also known by his stage name A.Y has taken to his verified Twitter page to react to the incident that happened between Will Smith and Chris Rocks at the Oscar 2022 nomination.

According to various reports today, popular Hollywood actor, Will Smith won his first Academy Award on Sunday night at the 94th Academy Awards of Oscar 2022 nomination. Before then, it was reported that the actor walked up to the stage, and slapped the presenter, Chris Rocks for making an unsavory comment, intended as a joke, towards Jada Pinkett Smith.

The incident has triggered a lot of reactions around the world today, and AY Comedian was not left out of this.

According to his statement, AY Comedian said sometimes, those who makes jokes found it hard to take one from others. Adding that, they can laugh at jokes pointing to someone else, but the laugh disappears when the joke was pointed on them.

In his tweet, AY wrote below;

“Sometimes, those who give jokes don’t know how to take one. They laugh when the joke is on another person, but all the laughter varnishes when the joke is on them.”
