OSCARS: Netflix, Sony halt production contracts of movies starring Smith
Will Smith just resigned from Oscars, and more travails stacked against him are surfacing in the wake of outcries against his aggression during the gala night when he slapped Chris Rock for slightly poking at Jada Pinkett Smith.
The Oscars award winner may also be forced to resign from his contract with Sony and Netflix who are contemplating how Smith’s damaged reputation has rubbed off on his works the film producers are about to release.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, work on the fourth installment of the Bad Boys film franchise has been halted by Sony.
Netflix earlier slowed down production on its planned action thriller movie Fast and Loose, which stars Smith.
The Academy, organizer of the award, is sure pushing ahead with more disciplinary measure against the 53-year-old actor.
