Osinbajo joins list of bitter contestants yet to congratulate Tinubu
It’s understandable why Sen. Rochas Okorocha, Ikeobasi Mokelu, Tunde Bakare, Jack Rich, Ogbonnaya Onu are acting the bad loser: all but one are southeasterners.
Then polling between 0 and 1 might be too devastating a defeat for presidential aspirants to handle.
But it leaves more questions than answer when V.P Yemi Osinbajo refuses to congratulate his estranged benefactor and party leader who crushed him 1271 to 235.
Although Tinubu has told Osinbajo and all other losers they have nothing to worry about, none of the also-ran have congratulated the APC candidate.
While it’s not clear what Osinabjo’s gripe is despite a lukewarm handshake during the announcement, Nigerians already know Kogi Gov Yahaya Bello’s grievance: party compromise.
That will be arguable, following delegates’ confirmation of the freeness and fairness of the primary broadcast live at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
Bello polled 48 though the number of delegates from his state stood at 63.
