Osinbajo supervises FEC approval of N2.8bn for interconnectivity of Prisons
The federal government at the Federal Executive Council meeting, approved over N2.8 billion for network interconnectivity of prison formations across the country.
Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation AbubakarMalami, speaking to State House Correspondents after the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, remarked that the networking will help in prison decongestion in the country.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presided over the Wednesday FEC meeting.
Bothered by the rising number of inmates in prison formations across the country, the federal government has been in search of policies that could help in prison decongestion. One of such policies is the digitalized decongestion of prisons.
Federal Executive Council also approved the procurement of memory access retrieval system for the aviation industry. The Federal Executive Council further approved N122.8 billion and N145.1 million for the south east and northwest n-power Programmes.
The establishment of a national council of skills was also approved for the ministry of education.
