Otunba Gbenga Awosoro secures Accord Party ticket in Iwajowa, Iwere-ile
Honourable Gbenga Awosoro is set to fly the flag of Accord Party as its candidate for the Iwajowa, Iwere-Ile State’s constituency of the Oyo state House of Assembly in the 2023 general elections.
The declaration was made at the weekend when party leaders from all the wards in the two local governments jointly picked the ebullient and hardworking politician to represent them in the forthcoming general elections.
Reacting to the affirmation, Otunba Awosoro said with a grateful heart and the sole obligation to devote every effort of his body, mind and spirit to lead the party to victory in 2023 in his constituency and the party.
According to the candidate, with this kind of a unity among members of Accord, “We are ready and eager to take on the APC, PDP and other 15 political parties next year 2023.
He envisaged, however, that 2023 can be a year of inspiration and hope. He added that it would be a year of concern, quiet and sober reassessment of character and purpose.
The Accord Party candidate appealed for continued support from his constituents, promising that he would give a different meaning to the dividends of democracy, if he ultimately won the election.
The event was witnessed by party leaders from all the wards in Iwajowa and Iwere-Ile local governments and representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Some of the party leaders present are: Alhaji Yusuf Mukaila Anibiire; Mr. Azeez kazeem Arigbabuwo; Com Waliu Yusuf Bolaji; Mr Taiwo Gbadegesin and Mrs Adelani among others. Mr Sunday Ojedele Adesola was the Returning Officer.
