Oyebanji sworn in as Ekiti Governor, succeeds Fayemi
The winner the Ekiti State governorship election, Biodun Oyebanji, has been sworn in as successor to former Governor Kayode Fayemi. The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, at 12.53pm on Sunday administered oath of allegiance and oath of office on Oyebanji as the new Governor of Ekiti State.
The Ekiti State Chief Judge also administered the oath of office and oath of allegiance on the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Monisade Afuye, at 12.46pm.
The swearing in ceremony was witnessed by the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, etc.
