(OYSIEC) Elected LG chairmen, others receive certificate of return

The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) on Friday presented certificates of return to the elected chairmen and vice chairmen of the 33 local government councils in the state.

The certificate was presented to the winners of the local government election conducted by the commission in April and the presentation was held at the OYSIEC office in Agodi, Ibadan.

In his remarks, the Chairman of OYSIEC, Aare Isiaka Olagunju congratulated them and called on the newly elected chairmen and vice-chairmen to justify the confidence reposed in them by the people who voted them into power.

Aare Olagunju who expressed his gratitude to God for the successful conduct of the election, also recalled that the success of the election was also due to adequate preparations and the enlightenment campaign embarked upon by the commission.

The ceremony was also witnessed by other OYSIEC commissioners, People’s Democratic Party chieftains, and supporters among others.
