Pandemonium in Jibowu as hoodlums engage in supremacy battle
Two factions of hoodlums have engaged themselves in supremacy battle in the Jibowu area of Lagos state causing residents, traders and motorists to run for safety as both parties engaged each in a free for all.
It was gathered that there were sporadic gunshots and people have been advised to avoid the area.
Inside Mainland on its twitter handle said available information indicated that there is an ongoing clash at Yaba/Jibowu.
“Multiple gunshots have been confirmed. Please avoid the axis till normalcy is restored. RT for awareness,” it said.
“They’re fighting in jibowu Lagos as I type. Seems it’s NURTW, but it’s happening in front of Chisco Park and I’m hoping it’s not Ethnic,” a twitter user, Niger Delta wrote.
Images seen online showed the area is deserted as traders have abandoned their shops and fled for safety.
