Peter Obi, the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate in the February 25 presidential election, has dissociated himself from social media postings suggesting that the ‘Obedients’ are planning a nationwide groundswell protest tagged “ENDINEC”, “ENDNigeria”.

The former Anambra Governor said he had publicly declared that he would reclaim his stolen mandate through the courts and by due process.
Obi said notwithstanding the misgivings many might have about the Judiciary, he called on Nigerians to strive to build resilient and strong institutions.
“My attention has been drawn to social media postings suggesting that a nationwide groundswell “#ENDINEC”, “#ENDNigeria” Protest is being planned by the Obidients. We are aware that those postings are being orchestrated by the opposition.
“My position is clear: Without prejudice to constitutional dictates on freedom of speech and freedom of assembly, I have publicly stated that in the matter of reclaiming our stolen mandate, we shall do so robustly via the Courts and Due Process,” Obi said.
