Police confirm rescue of kidnapped ASP
The Kwara State Police Command on Sunday confirmed the rescue of ASP Ahmed Yusuf from the custody of his kidnappers in a bush between Kwara and Oyo State.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the State Command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, in a statement on Sunday in Ilorin, disclosed that the ASP was rescued by a combined team of the command’s tactical teams, Local Vigilante, hunters and the Oyo State Amotekun Squad.
The PPRO noted that no kidnapper was arrested. He said effort is being intensified for the arrest of the kidnappers for prosecution.
