The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday provided guard for protesters participating in the nationwide protest organised by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fayoade Adegoke Mustapha, engaged in leading the protest along Awolowo way, Ikeja, to ensure hoodlums do not interfere or cause mayhem during the protest.
At another point, according to The CABLE, the police were distributing water and biscuit to protesters.
The Organised Labour had called out Nigerians to protest the hardship, high cost of living and hunger in the country.
