Presidency begins preparations for 62nd Independence anniversary celebration
The Nigerian presidency has commenced preparations for the 62nd independence anniversary celebration on October 1. The Federal Government, accordingly, released programmes of activities on Wednesday toward the 62nd Independence anniversary.
The Ministry of Information and Culture, in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday, indicated that the activities would commence with a press conference on Thursday at the National Press Centre, Abuja. thereafter, church service would hold at the National Christian Centre, Central Business District,of Abuja, on Sunday.
The ministry also indicated that a public lecture will also take place at the State House Conference Hall on September 29, and Special Juma’at prayers will hold at the National Mosque, Abuja.
President Muhammadu Buhari will round up the activities on October 1 with a presidential broadcast, before a military parade at the Eagle Square at 10am.
