President Muhammadu Buhari is continued to find means of quickening his reconciliation and renewed camaraderie with All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the bid to reorganize the ruling for the 2019 general elections.
Accordingly, Buhari has created a sensitive and influential role for Tinubu where he could exercise his leadership authority. Thus, the president appointed Tinubu to lead the APC consultations and reconciliation initiatives in the efforts to restore cohesion and harmony of interests in the party.

Shehu maintained that, “The assignment will involve resolving disagreements among party members, party leadership and political office holders in some states of the Federation.”
The reconciliation is necessary to protect President Buhari’s second term ambition in the face of the rising opposition acorns the country for the re-election.
APC stakeholders have been worried over the crisis traversing the party’s structures several states, essentially, Kano, Zamfara, Kogi and others.
