Rangers crush hard fighting Delta Force
A goal in each half by Nigerian born, Benin international midfielder, Isaac Loute and Ifeanyi George helped seven-time Nigerian champions, Rangers International F.C overcome hard fighting NNL side, Delta Force F.C who nipped in a late consolation by Fred Okwara for a 2-1 score line,National Daily gathered.
A 20th half volley from over thirty meters saw Rangers take the lead after a fine build up from the right saw the left footed Loute latch onto the free ball to score in Wednesday’ morning practice match inside the main bowl of Nnadi Azikiwe stadium, Enugu.
Sleek Ifeanyi George benefited from a defence splitting pass from Temitope Olusesi to find the back of the net on 65 minutes while the visitors reduced the tally on the stroke of full time as some slack defending allowed former Rangers and Heartland hit man, Okwara, to connect with the head an inch perfect cross from the right.
The Delta state side was led by former Rangers gaffer, coach Chukwuma Agbo who described the game as a learning curve.
