Rangers forced to a draw by Heartland
The ‘Flying Antelopes’, Rangers International F.C’ winning streak over Oriental rivals, Heartland F.C this season came to a halt this evening inside Dan Anyiam stadium, Owerri, as the ‘Naze Millionaires’ fought back gamely to force the visitors to a 2-2 draw in a rain soaked mid-season practice match,National Daily learnt.
Youth professional, Ugochukwu Ugwueme broke the deadlock on 21 minutes profiting from slack defending by the host and just four minutes later, the young lad turned provider as his defense splitting pass found Godwin Aguda who dribbled past goalkeeper, Osayi Itua to bury the ball on 25 minutes.
It could have been worse for the host on 40 minutes but Itua was quickly off his position to beat out a Yusuf Ibrahim’ effort after another inch perfect pass from Ugochukwu ,National Daily gathered.
