Reactions as controversies trail Banky W’s PDP reps ticket
Days after his victory at the Peoples Democratic Party primary election in Lagos, there are claims that singer, Banky W, may not be the party’s candidate for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, Lagos.
In a viral video late Monday, Banky W got 28 votes out of the 31 votes cast at the primary election.
However, reports on social media of the result submitted at the PDP headquarters in Abuja suggest that the singer may have lost his ticket.
Reacting to the report, former presidential aspirant, Oby Ezekwesili tweeted, “Just when you think we’ve seen all the shenanigans these folks can do. What happened to Banky W’s win of the Primary?I detest those two-peas-in-a-pod Parties but the young man worked hard for his win. Too sad.”
Popular doctor, Chinonso Egemba aka aproko doctor, in confusion asked, “I thought Banky W won the ticket. Didn’t we all watch a video of votes being counted?”
Another tweep, FS Yusuf asked, “Wadata House is a house of wonders eh. How will they wake up and tell us Banky W didn’t win the primaries after we saw video of his victory count???”
Morris Monye tweeted, “There is actual video of Banky W votes being counted which was definitely above 7. Then few magic wands later with abracadabra, he is no longer declared winner and this result sheet turn up with him being defeated. What is going on here?”
