Reactions as Dino Melaye declares political ambition
Nigerian reacted as politician and former lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, has declared intention to contest in the 2023 election.
He revealed this on Friday through his Facebook account by sharing his campaign poster, under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He wrote: “Hey, Dino is coming.”
Recall that Melaye lost his senate seat in the Kogi west rerun election to the All Progressives Congress candidate (APC), Smart Adeyemi.
Reactions:
Uyi Osunde: “Only if Dino could auction his cars and use the proceeds for people oriented programs and stop flaunting his wealth. This weakness of his is the only weapon his opposition have against him. Otherwise Dino would be the best thing to happen to Kogi people.
Gabriel Abumere: “Coming where? Kindly list 10 responsibilities of a governor and your plan to achieve them in a state like Kogi that is not too bouyant?
The plan should include revenue generation strategies and how much you will likely get each year outside FAAC collections. What will be the social investments you will deploy in your fist term in office to change the commercial and economic status of Kogi state and the indegenes?
Our democracy has gone past just mere rhetorics, if you are coming, your blueprint should herald your coming
Jimoh Sule: “God forbid.. We don’t want a governor that would have fleets of private jets..
Just as a senator, he has Labogini, Ferrari, Limozine and other variety of cars. His cars alone runs into billions of naira whereas no single borehole for his people in Kogi West. He has one of the most expensive mansion in Abuja.. Is that a sign of good leadership?????? I know some idiots and senseless people will be insulting for my sincere comment. We are searching for our ZULUM and not a capitalist, egocentric and self-centered person like Dino masquerading as progressive and man of the people.. We don’t pray to have someone that will be worse than GYB..
