Result discrepancy delays collation of Adamawa gov election final result
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer for Adamawa State, Prof Muhammed Mele, Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, citing discrepancy in the manual result sheet wich contradicts INEC’s Result Viewing Portal (IReV), from the Fufore Local Government Area (LGA), ordered a re-collation of the LG.
The manual result sheet showed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate had 26,329, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate had 21,721. However, in the INEC’s Result Viewing Portal (IReV), the APC had 24,777 votes, while the PDP had 20, 777 votes.
The collation officers at the state secretariat argued that the results declared by the Fufore LGA returning officer did not correspond with the record on the IREV portal. The Fufore Local Government result is delaying the final result for the announcement of the winner.

Result discrepancy delays collation of Adamawa gov electionof Adamwa State, PDP candidate, has won 13 Local Governments, while the APC governorship candidate, Hajia Aisha Binani, has won eight Local Government of the 21 LGAs.
