Rival bandits on joint mission in Zamfara town raid police stations, others
Two police stations were raided along other places in Shinkafi in Zamfara on Thursday evening.
The bandits responsible for the attack reported carted away weapons after the raids.
Shinkafi had received a warning earlier from Kachalla Turji and Halilu Sububu, two bandit leaders who threatened the town.
It was not the first time the town would fall under bandits’ attacks
A source narrated the incident to the Daily Post in Sokoto confirmed the incident evn after it initially got picked by social media.
According to the source, the criminals arrived towards te evening prayer, and robbed the community for about an hour.
Because of the general telecommunications shut down in Zafara and its environs, it has been difficult to obtain official confirmation of the incident.
