Roadside bomb kills 1 civilian, wounds 3 in western Afghanistan
One civilian was killed and three others wounded as a roadside bomb struck a car in Afghanistan’s western Herat province, provincial government spokesman, Jilani Farhad, said on Wednesday.
The roadside bomb struck a car in Dojoi village of Pashtun Zarghon district late Tuesday, Farhad said.
The official blamed the Taliban militants for the strike.
According to him, two civilians were also killed on Monday in an attack by the Taliban militants in Zawal district of Herat province.
Taliban militants were active in parts of Herat province with Herat city as its capital, 640 km west of the national capital Kabul.
