Sen. Shehu Sani pays tribute to Police Inspector killed by bandits in Zamfara
Senator Shehu Sani on Tuesday paid tribute to the police officer killed by bandits in the attack at Tsafe, Zamfara State. Senator Sani in a tweet @ShehuSani simply wrote: “Rest In Peace.”
The senator was responding to a tweet by Abubakar Balarabe Chafe who earlier wrote “Rest In peace. Bro.” Abubakar Chafe had further explained in his tweet: this “One of the victims of today’s attack in Tsafe. He lost his life in the hands of bandits in Tsafe.”
The bandits had struck last Sunday night in Tsafe, Tsafe Local Government Area, Zamfara State.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Zamfara State Command, Muhammed Shehu, on Monday acknowledged that the bandits invaded the Tsafe from the eastern part of the community, began shooting sporadically, killing three people, including the son of the Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs in Zamfara, a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Mamman Tsafe.
