“Oloworaran’s leadership at PenCom will drive collaboration across the pension industry, ensuring that the commission’s growth trajectory continues. The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Ms. Omolola Oloworaran as the Director-General (D-G) of the National Pension Commission (PenCom).
The confirmation, announced in a statement on Thursday by the Head of PenCom’s Corporate Communications, Mr. Ibrahim Buwai, follows the Senate’s consideration and adoption of the report from the Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service.
According to Buwai, Oloworaran is set to explore new avenues for advancing the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), with a focus on sustaining the growth of pension assets and expanding membership and coverage.
She is also committed to the swift payment of retirement benefits and enhancing the pension investment landscape to yield better returns for contributors and retirees alike.
