Shi’ites stage protest at Foreign Affairs Ministry
Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) staged mass protest in front of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Abuja, demanding international intervention in their long struggle for the release of the Shiites leader, Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, who has been in the incarceration of the federal government.
The Shiites members are taking advantage of the presence of international election observers in the country to give momentum to their protest and appeal for international support to end continued detention of their leader who the court had overtime granted bail but the federal government refused to release him from detention.
