Shuaib Abdulrazak leads Golden Eaglets tipped to shine at U17 AFCON
One of the latest additions to the Golden Eaglets, Shuaib Abdulrazak, has been tipped by CAF to shine at the 2019 U17 AFCON, which begins on Sunday afternoon in Tanzania.
He is gifted attacking midfielder from OMA Football Academy in Ibadan.
Here are the three Eaglets tipped for greatness in Tanzania and beyond:
SHUAIB OYINDAMOLA ABDULRASAK
Date of birth: 10-11-2003
Position: Attacking midfielder
Club: OMA Football Academy
One of the latest additions to the squad after the Golden Eaglets secured their sub-regional WAFU B ticket but the young midfielder has impressed everyone in trial matches ahead of the trip to Tanzania. Though attack-minded with good ball sense, Abdulrasak is equally strong on the ball and can function in defensive roles as very well.
SHEDRACK TANKO
Date of birth: 23-06-2003
Position: Right Back
Club: Ambassador Football Academy
He is one of the reliable players in the squad. Has been an integral part of the team from the outset and has contributed to the success of the team so far. Gentle-looking but he can be as hard as nail on his defensive assignments. He has good speed and often joins the attack when the need arises.
OLANIYAN ALFRED
Date of Birth: 5-2-2002
Position: Attacking midfielder
Club: Sudos FC
Languid looking, but Alfred is of sterner stuff and he’s regarded as the engine room of the team. Played pivotal role in ensuring Golden Eaglets’ qualification for Tanzania 2009 and has been one of the super regulars in the squad
