Sick Nollywood actress explains what it means for her to have 4 years left to live
With about four years left for her to live, Nollywood actress, Kemi Afolabi, has summoned courage to come out with the news of a never-get-over she has been living with.
In a recent interview with show host, Chude Jideonwo, published on Friday on YNaija, the actress revealed she has Lupus.
“It’s not curable. You just have to take medications for the rest of your life,” she said.
And the news of the diagnosis was devastating.,
“Make sure you are with your loved ones. At least, you still have up to five years.”
She has just lived one year after the doctor’s pronouncement, and, in tears, she noted she doesn’t know how much time she has left.
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which your immune system attacks your body and organs.
It’s usually high among women, and its marked by a butterfly-like flare on the face.
According to experts, the cause is largely genetic and environmental.
Afolabi once paid N1.2m on a treatment yet it did not work.
While still hanging on, she already wrote her will and booked a lot with a cemetery management.
