Slain Colonel Inusa laid to rest in Kaduna
It was a sad moment for the Nigerian Army on Wednesday as the remains of the slain Colonel Samaila Inusa was laid to rest according to Islamic rites at Ribadu Cantonment, Kaduna.
The colonel was kidnapped on Sunday March 27 in Kaduna, and was found dead at about 6.00pm on Tuesday, the Army said.
The Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, had said that Colonel Inusa’s body was found in Kaduna and he was suspected to have been killed on the day he was kidnapped.

According to him, “Preliminary investigation revealed that most likely the late senior officer was killed same day he was kidnapped by his abductors. This is because the body was found already decomposing around Ajyaita village off Eastern Bypass Kaduna, Kaduna State,” Usman said.
Col. Usman warned that whoever was behind his abduction and murder would be fished out to face the full wrath of the law.
The late Colonel was kidnapped while in his Mercedes-Benz car with his wife by some unknown gunmen around Kamazo, along Kaduna Refinery Road in Chikun LGA of Kaduna State. They dropped off his wife and left with him, heading towards Abuja.
