Sole Administrator holds closed-door executive meeting, as military operatives takeover Rivers Government House
The military operatives have taken over Rivers State Government House, Port Harcourt, after President Bola Tinubu appointed a Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (retired), on the proclamation of State of Emergency and suspension of democratic institutions, including the elected governor and state legislature.
Meanwhile, the Sole Administrator, on Thursday, held a closed-door meeting at the executive chambers of the Rivers State Government House, promising to deliver on his mandate.
Military personnel were sighted providing security for the Sole Administrator and other officials at the Government House.
He had visited President Tinubu at the State house, Abuja, on Wednesday.
