Tension in Lagos as NURTW suspends MC Oluomo
- Police on red alert
There is rising tension in Lagos State as the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) suspended Musiliu Akinsanya, known as MC Oluomo, indefinitely as chairman of NURTW in Lagos State. The suspended state chairman of the NUIRTW in Lagos State was accused of misconduct, insubordination, and inciting members of the state NURTW against the national leadership.
The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, CP Abiodun Alabi, has directed all area commanders and Divisional Police Officers to immediately strengthen security and maintain visibility in their area of coverage.

The CP assured of adequate security of life and property in the state, despite anticipation of violent clashes in the state.
MC Oluomo, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Chairman in Lagos State was suspended earlier on Thursday.
The NURTW has ordered MC Oluomo to immediately surrender the leadership of the union to the deputy chairman and handover all property of the Union in his possession to State Secretary.
