Tinubu holds consultation meeting with Fubara, Ogoni leaders, Wike on peace in Ogoni land
President Bola Tinubu held a consultative meeting with Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, Ogoni leaders, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, at the State House, Abuja, on peace in Ogoni land.
National Daily Newspaper gathered that deliberations at the meeting were centered on the well being of the Ogoni people, as well as paving the way for reactivating oil exploration in Ogoni oil fields, in addition to the Ogoni cleanup project.

President Tinubu emphasized the need for unity in tackling past injustices, and collective efforts for the peace of the country.
According to the President, “Collectively, we belong in this country, we are all responsible, as much as possible we cannot in any way rewrite the history but we can correct some anomalies going forward”.
